Sherly's Place proved to be an ideal place for me to settle down for a month. Well known artist Sherly and her charming family have created a delightful guest house with handsomely furnished rooms, very comfortable extra large beds and spacious bathrooms, all so close to the sea and within just a couple of minutes of the first of a series of great beaches. Odayam is ideal for close proximity to Varkala Cliff, when you want to be in the centre of the action but actually stay in a quieter environment. There are good restaurants in both directions along the coastal path and a tuktuk will take you into town in a few minutes. Caretaker Dinesh Kumar looks after the guests and it starts with a What's App message even before you arrive. He is on hand to deal with anything you need, including shopping. There is a communal kitchen for guests for those who wish to make their own breakfast or snacks etc, although a fine Kerala breakfast is included. I look forward to my next visit!

My brother and I had a lovely stay at Sherly's Cottage. Tucked away from the noise and bustle of the city, the place offered a peaceful and refreshing escape. The cottage was spotlessly clean and well-maintained, with all the basic essentials thoughtfully provided by our gracious host. The sea-facing view was absolutely stunning and added so much charm to our experience. We especially enjoyed the delicious breakfast served in the morning, it was a real treat. Overall, a wonderful and comfortable stay that we would happily recommend

Odayam Beach is peaceful, clean and not very crowded compared to neighboring Varkala Beach. There are a couple of beach shacks nearby. Varkala cliffs are about a couple of kilometers away. The beach is within a quick walk. Watch out for jelly fish in the water - this of course has nothing to do with the property itself. The location was ideal for us. We were pleasantly surprised by the friendliness, helpfulness and responsiveness from Mr Dinesh, the host's on-site representative. Every reasonable request was met with a smile and affirmative response. He was also very helpful with local recommendations and guidance. We were very impressed with Mr Dinesh's service. We highly recommend this location, property and host.

Awesome place to stay in Varkala. Beautiful house, location is perfect, short walk away from the busy cliff. Wonderful beach just a minute away. The owner is very helpful and always there for you. Great experience, calm stay. Room has everything you need, and even hot water. You can use kitchen to prepare your meals. Thank you Sherly Cottage, will come again 100%! Best place in Varkala.

Such a warm feeling from the people! You really feel that Sherly and her husband want to help you in any way possible, give you advice and they really care that you have a great time in their very nice cottages! Bathroom is really big. Bed is really really comfortable! For extra price you can use AC and have breakfast. I also got help for the train tickets for my journey to Kannyakumari. Definitely recommend Sherly’s Cottages for your stay

Sherly's is a wonderful stay with an amazing view. Mr. Dinesh was available all the time to assist us with food, transport, or sightseeing information. The breakfast was amazing. We had a wonderful stay at Sherly's and recommend it to all travelers going to Varkala.

I am lucky to find such place, as i have travelled with my 1 year kid for his 1st Birthday, Dinesh was in contact with us and helped us with required support. Its very peacfull and just 3-5 min walk to beach. I felt like home complimentory BF was the best food found in Varkala, It would have been great if they have a menu for lunch and dinner, Also have a daily Cleaning process instead of doing only after checkout.

Had an amazing stay at Sherly's , location is very peaceful, right next to sea, had amazing time with my wife. Our caretaker Julaj was very helpful and cooperative in making our stay wonderful

Wow so beautiful. I loved Varkala for sure worth the travel! The host was very helpful and attentive. I fell sick in the train and they even offered to call a doctor for me or offered me medicine. Thankfully I was able to recover and rest. The breakfast was yummy as well! Really enjoyed. Will come back again.

Location is close sea shore.Jukaz was our host at the property He is a young jolly person and is very helpful.Room was good and clean. Sea view from room was magnificent. Jukaz provided good breakfast Hotel is at quiet place and away from crowd.There is a restaurant named Magnolia very closed to Sherlys cottages which is not bad. There are good restaurants at Varkala town which is 4/5kms from hotel. One can easily get an auto rickshaw to reach places like Kappil beach,Jatayu centre ,railway station etc. Upon request, rental bikes area available. we had a very happy stay at Sherlys cottage. It was indeed value for money proposition.

Backpacked on a solo travel to Varkala. Had a wonderful experience with local host Mr. Jukaj recommend places to visit and support. The place is peaceful and cozy, morning breakfast was good. Overall enjoyed my stay.

It was a lovely 2 nights stay at Shery cottage. The view from the attached balcony was mesmerizing; we could hear the sea roar at night! Moreover, the location made our stay very peaceful giving the vibe of a countryside, away from the cacophony. We also had complimentary breakfast and Jukaj was very prompt at service.Hew also arranged a scooty for us and suggested places to visit which was truly an add-on. Overall, we hadal beautiful experience

Overall it was a wonderful experience. Mr. Dinesh(caretaker )was very helpful. He helped us to get the luggage from our vehicle. He also arrenged the auto rickshaw for commuting. Breakfast was excellent. Rooms needs little maintenance. Door lock was broken but next day it was repaired by Mr. Dinesh. Toilet seat cover was broken . which was brought to the notice of Mr. Dinesh. There were lot of insects and mosquito. so we had to keep our main door closed all the time. Best to have a net door with the maindoor, so one can keep the main door open for ventilation. Approach to the house was not that great, there is no lights. It is little difficult to locate the place in the night. Best to have some lights and proper signboard for a smooth access to Sherly house. Shubhra
